A Field of Living Light
Cross Pollination: A Field of Living Light is an immersive multi-room exhibition featuring over fifty large-scale acrylic paintings, displayed in pairs from same-day painting sessions between the two artists. The show unfolds as a visual symphony — a living field of consciousness expressed through color, geometry, motion, and light.
At its core, Cross Pollination explores the meeting point between two distinct yet resonant creative forces: Chichagov’s oceanic abstraction and McClanahan’s crystalline luminosity. Their dialogue reveals a unified language of spirit and matter, intuition and geometry, the fluid and the structured.
Each spread pairs a same-day work by Chichagov (structured, woven mosaic fields) with one by McClanahan (fluid pour, crystalline luminosity). Attribution is by visual style rather than confirmed record.
